Biography

Dr. Hayder I. Mohammed is a researcher and academic specializing in thermal sciences, multiphase flow, and advanced energy systems. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham (2019), where his doctoral work focused on enhancing heat transfer in vapor absorption refrigeration systems using a novel nano-salt fluid. He also earned an MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Baghdad and a BSc in Nuclear Engineering, graduating first in his class.
Dr. Mohammed is a Lecturer and Head of the Physics Department at the University of Garmian, Iraq, and has previously held technical and engineering roles in national institutions. With more than 100 peer-reviewed publications in Scopus- and Clarivate-indexed journals, his research spans heat transfer enhancement, latent heat thermal energy storage, nanofluids, PCM systems, battery thermal management, and renewable energy technologies. Several of his works appear in high-impact journals such as Applied Energy, Energy Storage, International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, Progress in Energy and Combustion Science, and Applied Thermal Engineering. His contributions have earned over 6100 citations and an h-index of 49, reflecting his significant international impact.
In addition to his research output, Dr. Mohammed has completed over 700 peer-reviews, served as Editor-in-Chief of Passer Journal, and is listed among the world’s top scientists in the Stanford ranking. His work continues to advance innovative thermal and energy-efficient technologies for next-generation engineering applications.
