Ziyad Tariq Najim is an assistant lecturer in the computer science department at the College of Science at the University of Garmian, where I have been a college member since 2009. I hold a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Technology, Baghdad. My MSc research focused on image processing, with a particular emphasis on fractal image compression technology. I am also interested in other image processing fields, such as image enhancement and image recognition. In the near future, I intend to publish several research papers. As an educator, I try to inspire and empower my students. Over the years, I have taught a wide range of courses, including Database Systems, Information Systems, Computer Graphics & Vision, Logic Design, Computer Essentials, and Python Programming. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have held the position of Quality Assurance in college since 2019. I have also been selected as head of the Huawei Academy at the University of Garmian for the period 2020–2022.
