Mohammed Yousif (PhD Candidate) is an academic, researcher, and information technology administrator from the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, with more than 13 years of experience in higher education, scientific research, and institutional digital transformation. orcidrrently serves as Assistant Dean of the College of Computer and Information Technology at the University of Garmian (since 2025). Prior to this role, he served for nearly six years in executive administrative positions at the University of Garmian, including Director of the Computer and Information Technology Center and Director of the Information Technology and Statistics Directorate, contributing to the university’s digital development and technological infrastructure enhancement.
Mohammed Yousif holds an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Sulaimani and is currently a PhD candidate in Distributed Computing at the University of Sulaimani. He has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed scientific publications in high-impact international journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science, including publications with IEEE, Springer Nature, and MDPI. He was recognized among the Top Ten Most Influential Researchers at the University of Garmian in 2024 and 2025.
His academic and institutional contributions include participation in more than 70 scientific, administrative, and technical committees, covering areas such as strategic planning, the Bologna Process, international university rankings, scientific evaluation, digital transformation, and academic event organization.He has delivered keynote speeches and invited talks at more than 25 national and international scientific events and serves as a reviewer for over 30 international scientific journals published by leading academic publishers, including Springer Nature, Elsevier, Wiley, Taylor & Francis, SAGE Publishing, and Pearson.
His research interests include distributed computing, cloud computing and cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, deep learning, and medical applications of intelligent technologies.
