Dr. Aram Mohammed Qadir, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, presented certificates of appreciation to 51 academics from the Kurdistan Region for securing scientific patents. Among the honorees were Asst. Prof. Dr. Ramal Ahmed Mustafa and Ms. Sarwa Hashim Mohammed from the University of Garmian’s Department of Chemistry (College of Education).

The Minister noted that 25 of the 51 patents were registered internationally, with the remainder authenticated by the Federal Ministry of Planning, underscoring the regional capacity for high-impact scientific innovation. Following the ceremony, University of Garmian President Prof. Dr. Aras Fariq Zainal congratulated the researchers, reaffirming institutional support for advanced academic research.
