Asst. Lect. Arkan Mohammad Hassan, Director of Health and Safety at the University of Garmian, successfully completed an intensive international training program on "Global Compliance in Food Packaging Safety and Management" held in New Delhi, India, from August 4 to August 14, 2026.

Organized by the prestigious Indian Institute of Packaging (IIP)—a global authority in packaging standards and material safety—the program brought together 28 select delegates representing 18 nations worldwide. Asst. Lect. Arkan Mohammad Hassan attended as the sole representative from Iraq. The specialized fellowship was fully funded by the Ministry of External Affairs of the Government of India.

The ten-day summit focused on modern packaging technologies, international compliance standards, risk management protocols, and health safety frameworks designed to prevent chemical contamination in food supply chains. This participation directly supports the University of Garmian's commitment to implementing world-class health, safety, and environmental standards across its institutional operations.
