Garmian University, as a public sector university in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region, provides an appropriate learning environment in which teachers and students can become a source of knowledge and advocate the high values of the present and future generations for the development of individuals in this region. Garmian University works in several different fields such as medicine, engineering, basic sciences, social studies, education, law, language and humanities through a strong and effective program. The university educates students to become skilled and competent based on the needs of the labor market, by providing a favorable environment and providing opportunities for individuals to demonstrate their ability to learn and develop. To achieve the results of these messages, the University will work on the following:
1. Provide a broad and balanced academic program at both primary and secondary levels that supports and demonstrates the ability to innovate with high quality.
2. Serving society and creating new knowledge through the research of a group of scientists and effective innovations that become the basis for dealing with the medium and long-term needs of society.
3. Active participation of the faculty and students of the university in the national and international programs of local and international academic institutions in order to benefit from the academic resources of these institutions.
4. Paying attention to the cultural aspects of society through educational programs in the fields of language, culture, social sciences and humanities and encouraging researchers to work on the historical and political aspects of society through academic activities.
5. Respect the basic principles of multiracial and multiculturalism, openness and democracy of society through university laws, regulations and programs.
