A senior delegation from the University of Garmian, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, attended the second anniversary commemoration of the International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations in Erbil.
The event, themed "Towards a Multipolar World and a Shared Future for Humanity," was organized by the Global Civilization Initiative Research Center in coordination with the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China. The university's delegation included key academic officials specializing in international relations and political systems.
This global observance tracks back to a 2024 UN General Assembly resolution, which unanimously designated June 10 as the International Day for Dialogue Among Civilizations to promote global cultural pluralism and multilateral cooperation.
