To foster academic coordination and launch joint scientific activities, the University of Garmian has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the People Development Organization (PDO).

On Wednesday, February 11, 2026, a delegation from PDO visited the University of Garmian, where they were received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education. The formal signing ceremony took place in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Salar Mahmud HamaSalih, Director of International Academic Relations.

Key Areas of Collaboration

The MoU focuses on several strategic pillars aimed at community and student development:

• Peacebuilding and Gender Issues: Joint efforts to promote social cohesion and address gender-related topics.
