On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, coinciding with the beginning of the new academic year, the Health and Safety Directorate of the University of Garmian organized a scientific workshop entitled “Following Health and Safety Standards in Building a Safe Environment in the Laboratory.”
The workshop was held at Sherwana Hall, College of Science, and featured presentations by Assistant Professor Dr. Rahman A. Murad and Assistant Professor Dr. Amir M. Mohammed. Both speakers emphasized the importance of adhering to health and safety regulations during laboratory experiments, highlighting practices that ensure the protection of personnel and laboratory equipment.
The primary objective of the workshop was to promote awareness regarding the implementation of health and safety guidelines and to foster a secure and well-maintained laboratory environment for students, staff, and faculty members.
The session was attended by a considerable number of participants, including teachers, employees, and students from various scientific departments. The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion session, during which participants shared questions, comments, and reflections on the presented topics.
