2026-05-12

As part of the University of Garmian's ongoing commitment to digitalizing administrative operations and upgrading its technological infrastructure, a specialized meeting was held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Chaired by Prof. Dr. Ezzadin Juma Darwish, Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, the session focused on activating the "ROSE" program to digitize the university’s central warehouse operations.

The meeting was attended by relevant department directors and warehouse heads from various colleges to discuss the strategic importance of this transition in accelerating administrative procedures.

System Features and Technical Capabilities

During the meeting, Asst. Lect. Diyar Omar Mustafa, the developer of the program, presented a seminar outlining the system's functions and its strategic benefits. The ROSE system is considered a pioneering modern experience among universities in the region, offering several key services:

  • QR-CODE Integration: Every item in the warehouse is assigned a unique QR code for rapid identification and tracking.

  • Electronic Identification (ID): Automatic ID codes are generated for all equipment and assets.

  • High Capacity: In its current phase, the program can store and manage data for over 15,000 individual items.

  • Automated Accounting: The system facilitates seamless, real-time financial and inventory synchronization between the Central Warehouse and all university colleges and departments.

Strategic Objectives

This project represents a significant turning point in the University of Garmian’s administrative workflow. By moving these operations online, the university aims to:

1. Eliminate Bureaucracy: Reduce routine paperwork and manual entry errors.

2. Enhance Transparency: Provide better oversight and protection of public assets.

3. Increase Efficiency: Accelerate the process of identifying and supplying institutional needs.
