From July 22 to 24, 2025, a hackathon under the framework of the CoCreate My City program was conducted at the Career Development Centre of the University of Garmian. The event was held in the presence of representatives from WeDo, staff members of the Centre, and participating students.

The CoCreate My City program is designed to empower and equip university students with the skills necessary to address regional challenges through innovative entrepreneurial projects. It serves as a competition for entrepreneurial ideas among students from five universities in the Kurdistan Region: the University of Garmian, the University of Halabja, the University of Zakho, the University of Koya, and the University of Raparin.

In the next phase, the participating teams will present their projects in a formal ceremony, during which the winning group will be officially announced.

The program fosters student innovation by encouraging the development and presentation of entrepreneurial initiatives. The most promising project will receive support from WeDo in collaboration with the government of the Netherlands.
