On Monday, July 7, 2025, Dr. Mohammed Azad, Director General of Garmian Health, visited the University of Garmian to strengthen ties with the College of Medicine. He was welcomed by Professor Dr. Arass F. Zainal, University President.

During the meeting, attended by university vice presidents, discussions focused on expanding collaboration, addressing staff shortages, and improving medical services for students.

Professor Zainal announced Dr. Azad’s appointment as a member of the College Council to support the college's development. He also proposed upgrading the university health center into a 24/7 campus clinic.

Dr. Azad pledged to work on the clinic’s establishment, provide needed specialists, and allocate space in a local hospital for medical training.
