The University of Garmian hosted an official certification ceremony to mark the successful conclusion of its month-long professional development course, "Techniques for Writing and Publishing Research in International Journals". The event was attended by University President Prof. Dr. Aras Fariq Zainal, vice presidents, deans, and directorate heads.
Program Overview & Core Objectives
Launched on April 19, 2026, the intensive capacity-building initiative aimed to equip institutional researchers with advanced methodologies for publishing in globally indexed, high-impact scientific journals. The program was jointly organized and supervised by three core institutional bodies:
The Directorate of Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Affairs
The Directorate of Quality Assurance and Curriculum Development
The Pedagogy Center
The workshop trained 18 participants, including faculty members and postgraduate (Master's and Ph.D.) researchers. The curriculum was delivered by eight specialized professors from the University of Garmian.
Elevating Global Academic Standing
During the proceedings, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed I. Khalil, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education, delivered an address highlighting the strategic value of peer-reviewed research in elevating the university's ranking and visibility within the international academic community.
The ceremony concluded with the University President and Vice Presidents distributing certificates of appreciation to the instructing faculty and certificates of completion to the participating researchers.
