Two faculty members from the University of Garmian participated in a national workshop titled “How to Teach Entrepreneurship Programs in Kurdistan Regional Universities”, held under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the Rwanga Foundation.
The workshop took place from August 3 to 5, 2025, and was attended by Assistant Professor Biaban Nwri Rostam and Assistant lecturer Chnur Mahmud Fatah, who represented the University of Garmian.
The workshop focused on the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and strategies for teaching it effectively within university curricula. It forms part of the Ministry’s broader initiative to incorporate entrepreneurship as a formal subject across higher education institutions in the Kurdistan Region. Participants engaged in sessions aimed at equipping educators with the necessary tools and methodologies to deliver entrepreneurship education in line with international standards.
This participation highlights the University of Garmian's commitment to academic innovation and its active role in national efforts to align higher education with labor market needs and entrepreneurial development.
