On Monday, May 5, 2025, the University of Garmian’s Committee for Combating Drug Use held a coordination meeting in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed I. Khalil, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education.

The meeting focused on final preparations for the upcoming awareness event titled “Drugs and Psychotropic Substances: Dimensions and Consequences”, which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at Sherwana Hall, College of Science.

In addition to reviewing the event agenda, the committee discussed ongoing initiatives and future plans aimed at increasing awareness of the dangers of drug use among students and the wider community. This initiative highlights the university's ongoing commitment to fostering a healthy, informed, and responsible academic environment.
