On Monday, May 5, 2025, the Presidency of the University of Garmian hosted a coordination meeting to assess the ongoing preparations for the upcoming International Scientific Conference titled “Revitalizing Historical and Cultural Gems for Dynamic and Sustainable Tourism Growth”.

The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Arass F. Zainal, President of the University of Garmian, Mr. Hersh F. Gharib, Director General of Tourism. The conference is being organized through a collaboration between the University of Garmian, the Department of Cultural Heritage – Alma Mater Studiorum, University of Bologna (Italy), the Garmian Directorate of Archaeology and Culture, and the Garmian General Directorate of Tourism.

Committee heads responsible for the preparatory, media, and scientific aspects of the conference were also present. The meeting focused on evaluating the progress made so far and ensuring the successful organization of the event through improved coordination and task execution.
