As part of the University of Garmian's series of events commemorating the 37th anniversary of the Anfal genocide, an activity was held on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Sherko Bekas Hall in the College of Basic Education.

The event was jointly organized by the Genocide Centre at the University of Garmian and the Kindergarten Department of the College of Basic Education. During the program, five Kurdish films related to the Anfal genocide were screened, and two books were presented.

The book Country of Wheat Flowers was introduced by its author, Salam Ali, while Anfal Play was presented by its translator, Yasin Qadir Barzanji.

As part of the continued commemorative activities, the annual Anfal memorial gathering will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, in Sherwana Hall at the College of Science.
