February 20, 2025, in observance of World Social Equality Day, the University of Garmian will host an international workshop featuring social science researchers from the University of Garmian and the University of Kurdistan – Sanandaj.

The event will take place at 10:00 AM in Sherko Bekas Hall, College of Basic Education.

Workshop Themes and Speakers

• Social Equality: Concepts and Social Dimensions – Hawar Karim Hamid, University of Garmian.

• The Consequences of Social Equity – Dr. Saeed Khani, University of Kurdistan – Sanandaj.

• Social Equality as a Cultural Value– Dr. Kamal Khaliq Pana, University of Kurdistan – Sanandaj

The workshop will explore the principles of social equity, focusing on economic, political, and legal equality,etc... as well as strategies to promote inclusivity and fairness in society.

Academics, students, and the public are invited to attend and engage in discussions on building a more just and equal society.
