On February 5, 2025, the University of Garmian held a ceremony to honour retiring faculty and staff. The event, attended by President Professor Dr. Aras F. Zainal, Vice Presidents, and the Dean of the College of Primary Education, recognized the retirees' lifelong dedication to education and public service.

In his address, Dr. Zainal commended their invaluable contributions to the university and beyond. The ceremony concluded with the presentation of certificates of appreciation to 25 retirees in recognition of their distinguished service.
