Directorate of General Registration

About

The General Registration Directorate is one of the main administrative units of the university. It is responsible for managing all academic and administrative matters related to students from the time of their admission until their graduation. It also serves as a link between students, colleges, the university, and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The Directorate organizes and manages student affairs in accordance with the regulations and instructions issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It is considered one of the most vital directorates within the university due to its direct interaction with students throughout their academic journey and its commitment to ensuring the accuracy of academic information and the integrity of administrative procedures related to students. All services provided by the Directorate are delivered in accordance with the principles of quality, accuracy, and transparency, serving both students and the university.

The university also adopts the Bologna Process, an academic system aimed at harmonizing higher education through the implementation of a credit hour system, the structuring of study cycles, facilitating the recognition of qualifications, promoting lifelong learning, and enhancing academic and professional skills.

Activities of the General Registration Directorate

  1. Receiving and registering newly admitted students and implementing procedures related to central admission, special admission, student transfer, relinquishment, guest student status, and other university orders concerning student affairs.

  2. Monitoring student attendance and managing procedures related to suspension, deferment, and reinstatement of enrollment.

  3. Verifying and auditing documents and certificates to ensure their authenticity.

  4. Preparing statistics and data related to students and graduates.

  5. Implementing the regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research concerning student affairs.

  6. Following up on graduation requirements, preparing graduate lists, and providing students with information and instructions related to registration and academic studies to ensure the smooth and organized conduct of the educational process.
