On February 8, 2026, a delegation from the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) visited the University of Garmian to strengthen institutional ties. The delegation was received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil, Vice President for Scientific Affairs.
During the meeting, attended by CDC Director Asst. Lect. Chnur Fattah, GIZ Advisor Niall Ardill outlined the agency's projects regarding the digital economy in Iraq. Dr. Khalil emphasized the importance of international partnerships in developing the skills of students and graduates, creating job opportunities, and providing vocational training for the youth of Garmian.
Following the discussion, the delegation visited the Career Development Center to observe the "A Green and Digital Future" training course. This collaboration highlights the University of Garmian’s commitment to preparing its students and alumni for the contemporary labor market.
