On February 5, 2026, representatives from the University of Garmian participated in a strategic forum hosted by the Vision Foundation titled "The Future of Kurdish Status in Iraq."

Representing the university, Asst. Prof. Dr. Aryan Rauf Aziz and Asst. Prof. Dr. Yassin Ashur Jawhar joined a distinguished panel of experts to discuss Kurdish national unity and diplomatic strategies in Baghdad. The dialogue emphasized that a unified internal discourse is essential to safeguarding the Kurdistan Region's constitutional and political standing.

The findings from this session will be compiled into a scientific study to serve as a policy roadmap. This participation highlights the University of Garmian’s commitment to applying academic expertise to critical national issues.
