On Monday, January 19, 2026, the University of Garmian formalized a strategic partnership with the German Cooperation organization to enhance academic collaboration and regional development.

A high-level delegation from the German Cooperation, led by representative Mam Pola, was received by the President of the University of Garmian, Prof. Dr. Aras Fariq Zainal.

During the meeting, President Zainal expressed his appreciation for the organization's dedicated support of various academic and social sectors within the Garmian region.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by President Zainal and the German Cooperation delegation in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Salar Mahmoud, Director of Academic Relations.
