On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Dr. Ayad Mohammed Ali officially assumed office as the new supervisor of the College of Medicine at the University of Garmian.

During the ceremony, the university presidency expressed gratitude to Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil for his service as acting supervisor in collaboration with Dr. Bakhtiar Mahmoud Hamasaleh, Assistant Dean of the College of Medicine. The presidency also reaffirmed its full support for Dr. Ayad in his new role and wished him success in leading the college academically and administratively.

Dr. Ayad Mohammed Ali earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Sulaimani (2004–2005), a master’s degree from the University of Hertfordshire (2015), and a PhD from the University of Sulaimani .
