On Monday, July 7, 2025, the President of the University of Garmian, Professor Dr. Arass F. Zainal, officially inaugurated the University Storehouse Project, in the presence of vice presidents, college representatives, directors, and staff.

This project, originally launched over a decade ago, had been suspended for 11 years. Under the leadership of Professor Zainal, construction resumed on May 10, 2025, and was completed in under two months.

The storehouse covers 1,000 square meters and was completed at a cost of 99 million IQD, supervised and implemented by the university’s Engineering and Projects Department.

Plans are also in place to begin construction of the Central Library, another long-delayed project that has been halted for over 10 years.
