On Sunday, April 27, 2025, the Directorate of Quality Assurance and Program Development at the University of Garmian organized a scientific workshop focused on the impacts of climate change on the Garmian region.

The workshop featured presentations by Assistant Professor Dr. Abdulmutallab Rafaat, Dr. Dilpak Ahmad—both faculty members at the University of Garmian—and environmental activist Azad Ahmad.

The speakers discussed the broad effects of climate change, with particular emphasis on its consequences for the Garmian area. They explored the environmental, social, and economic challenges caused by climate change and highlighted the urgent need for sustainable solutions and regional adaptation strategies.
