Two teams of students from the University of Garmian, supervised by CDC have successfully completed the Global Solutions Conversations program, an initiative designed to foster cross-cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
One team, led by Ms. Ala Baba Rasul, comprised 10 students from the University of Garmian and collaborated with a team from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in Florida, led by Dr. Christine Richmond.
The second team, also consisting of 10 students from the University of Garmian, was led by Ms. Hozan Hussein. They partnered with a group of 10 students from Alcorn State University in Mississippi, USA, under the leadership of Professor George Babu.
The Global Solutions program is implemented by IREX and supported by the J. Christopher Stevens Virtual Exchange Initiative (JCSVEI). JCSVEI, administered by the Aspen Institute, is a program of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. Its primary objective is to connect students from different countries, enabling them to engage in meaningful dialogue and gain a deeper appreciation of each other’s cultures.
