On Monday, March 10, 2025, the University of Garmian officially announced the commencement of the eighth round of pedagogy courses.
At the opening ceremony, Dr. Omar Mahmud, Director of the Pedagogy Center, highlighted the significance of the course to the participants. In his speech, the President of the University of Garmian noted that approximately 300 students had participated in the previous seven rounds, while around 50 students are enrolled in this latest session.
He further emphasized: “Pedagogical courses equip teachers with new teaching methodologies and practices, enhancing lesson quality and increasing the overall effectiveness of the teaching process.”
In another part of the ceremony, Professor Dr. Arass F. Zainal reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting the Pedagogy Center, stressing the importance of continuous professional development for educators.
Following this, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education spoke about the role of pedagogy as a modern approach to education. He stated: “Contemporary pedagogical methods foster stronger relationships between teachers and students, ultimately improving the learning experience.”
The event was attended by several faculty members, directors of relevant departments, and other university
officials.
