On Wednesday, December 18, 2024, the Garmian University team for combating drugs and psychotropic substances held a scientific workshop entitled "The Effects of Drugs on Individuals and Society.”

The workshop discussed the dangers and effects of drugs on individuals and society from four different perspectives:

1. Mr Pshtiwan Hamid, lecturer in the Department of Law, presented a seminar entitled “Drugs and Psychotropic Substances: Concepts and Positions of Law.”

2. Professor Dr Emad Mohammed, an expert in principles of jurisprudence, spoke about the position of religion on the issue.

3. Mr Arkan M., director of Health and Safety at Garmian University explained the dangers of drugs on human health.

4. Dr. Sarhad M. Samin pointed out the dangers of drugs and psychotropic substances on individuals and society.

Soon, the Garmian University team for combating drugs and psychotropic substances will conduct several other scientific activities.
