The presidency of Garmian University and Garmian’s General Directorate of Health met to discuss plans for starting a teaching hospital for Garmian University’s medical college.
On Monday, March 25th, 2024, a meeting was held at the Garmian University President's Office under the supervision of Professor Dr. Farhad Qadir Kareem, the University President. Professor Dr. Ezzaddin Jumaa Darwish, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs and Finance, along with joint medical and engineering committees from the university and the health directorate, were present. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the construction of a teaching hospital for the university's medical college.
The meeting focused on identifying a suitable location for the teaching hospital and initiating the necessary procedures to prepare the design and budget. This initiative is supported by the Ministry's letter number 1916 dated January 29th, 2024, and the Council of Ministers' letter number 566 dated January 1st, 2024.
During the meeting, attendees presented their views and comments on the agenda points. It was decided that the meetings would continue. The engineering committees were assigned to discuss their opinions and suggestions regarding the hospital's location for the next meeting. This will allow for a final decision and the start of design and budget preparations.
