Biography

Dr. Salar Karim Fatah is a dedicated lecturer and researcher at the Department of Physics, College of Education, University of Garmian, Kalar-Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan Region, Iraq. He concurrently serves as the head of the university’s central library. Dr. Fatah holds a Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Yazd University, Iran, awarded through a scholarship, where he specialized in developing nanopigments for ceramic tile coatings. His research interests encompass the synthesis, characterization, and application of nanomaterials to enhance surface properties, leading to innovations such as superhydrophobicity, anti-corrosion, and photocatalytic coatings. Dr. Fatah’s academic journey began at Koya University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics as the top student in his class. He subsequently secured a scholarship to pursue a Master's degree in Nanomaterials for Nanoengineering at the University of Sheffield, United Kingdom. To date, he has published over 12 research papers and maintains active collaborations with institutions such as Yazd University. His research focuses on creating multifunctional nanomaterials with diverse applications. In addition to his research, Dr. Fatah is dedicated to teaching and has accumulated over 15 hours of teaching experience at the undergraduate level. His courses include Optics, Experimental Optics, and English Language for Physics Students. Dr. Fatah is committed to advancing the field of nanomaterials and exploring innovative solutions to real-world challenges. He welcomes collaborations and inquiries about his research.
