On September 10, 2025, a validation meeting was convened at the Career Development Center (CDC) of the University of Garmian to present and discuss the project roadmap developed within the framework of the EU-funded RISE Project. The session was held in the presence of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim Khalil, Vice President for Scientific Affairs and Higher Education.
The objective of the meeting was to review and validate the roadmap, ensuring alignment with the university’s strategic priorities while enhancing awareness among the university’s leadership and staff regarding the project’s ongoing activities. The roadmap was presented by the Director of the Career Development Center, after which participants—comprising university directors, faculty members, and CDC staff—offered constructive feedback, comments, and suggestions.
This activity forms part of the broader RISE Project (Reinforcing the Integration of Skills for Employability and Internationalization in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq), implemented by the Italian organization UNIMED with financial support from the European Union. The two-year initiative seeks to strengthen graduate skills and advance the internationalization of higher education institutions across the Kurdistan Region.
