Garmian University has published the Garmian Encyclopedia as part of its efforts to serve and promote science in the region.
After forming committees to prepare the encyclopedia of Garmian, the Presidency of Garmian University appointed experts and specialists to collect and archive all the different fields and aspects of Garmian. The first part of the project consists of two volumes and is about Garmian's geography.
The Garmian Encyclopedia Project is supervised by Professor Dr. Dara Hamid, with its currently published volumes available in the Kurdish language.
Both volumes of the encyclopedia are more than 600 pages and contain dozens of academic, general, diverse articles related to Garmian geography, including Garmian borders, nature, climate, population, cities, trades, minerals, economic and water resources, plains, mountains, and many other topics.
The Garmian Encyclopedia is a significant project of Garmian University and encompasses all fields and aspects of history, geography, civilization, archaeology, language, literature, culture, arts, and sports in Garmian.
