On October 2 and 3, 2024, a delegation from Garmian University, consisting of three lecturers from the Department of Civil Engineering, participated in an international workshop in Egypt.

Prof Ghazi B. Juma, Dr Goran M. Ghaidan, and Charakhan A. Hama attended the workshop on Developing Pedagogical Strategies for Promoting Inclusive Design in University Campuses.

This event was conducted in coordination between Garmian University, Galala University in Egypt and TU Dresden, and was supported by DAAD.

On the first day of the workshop, the delegation visited Galala University, and on the second day, they visited the American University in Cairo. During these visits, several informative seminars were presented, and discussions were on designing and renovating university campuses to be convenient and easily accessible for everyone especially people with disabilities.
