My name is Rahman, and I teach general biology, wastewater treatment, and research methodology in chemistry science at the College of Science. Additionally, I teach Medical Microbiology in the Nursing and Pharmacy departments at Kalar Private Technical Institute. In 1998, I graduated from the Education College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at Salahuddin University. With over 11 years of experience in medical lab technology, I pursued and obtained a Master's Degree in Microbiology, followed by a Ph.D. in the same specialization from Tikrit University. I have also completed various professional courses in education, computers, and the English language, which have enabled me to incorporate real-world problem-solving into my lessons. As a lecturer, I am committed to creating a fun, safe, and inclusive learning environment in the biological field and fostering research. I encourage critical thinking and problem-solving and aim to provide diverse learning opportunities to cater to different learning styles. I have extensive experience working with students in lab techniques, including after-school tutoring, summer camps, and teaching overseas. Additionally, I have experience with technology integration in the classroom and have completed several courses on using technology to enhance student learning. As a researcher, I have published ten research papers as of July 2024. Two of these papers were co-authored with my doctoral degree supervisor, while the others were written in collaboration with two different teams, focusing on microbiology and hematology. Additionally, I have authored an article on biological activity in the field of organic chemistry. Furthermore, I am working on a project related to bacterial isolation and identification within my specialization.
